5 Cool & Unusual Wedding Venue Ideas For intimate / Small Weddings In Manchester. That you might not have considered

Stockport Town Hall (The Marble Room)

Of course this one is going to be up there, I got married here! In the marble room which is lush and cost me £200 mid week to get married here. It’s a stunning room and perfect for going to a pub afterwards or walking to a venue for the reception. We actually had a meal at LEAF, next to FAB CAFE where we actually met.

The Plant Room Freight Island

Now although I haven’t been here yet this room looks so cool and awesome and can be hired out for weddings and it might be a place you hadn’t thought of. Close to Picadilly station and central for hotels if guests want to stay over. Its clearly more on the DIY vibe of a wedding but looks stunning. It looks so cool.

GRUB MCR

OMFG I love this venue and later this year I will be back to shoot the most coolest weddings ever. One enquiry was, can you shoot a late ceremony into a party with a candid but editorial vibe. Err yea I can!!

Yet again more DIY but space for food trucks and photos booth hire. Loads of room for guests and I know the excellent Grace In Spring Weddings who is the perfect wedding planner for here.

It’s local to Manchester Victoria Station, great industrial vibes and perfect if you’re on a budget.

Fairfield Social Club

Tucked away on Irk Street in the heart of Manchester, Fairfield Social Club offers the kind of venue vibe that’s equal parts raw, vibrant and full of personality — a perfect match for couples who want something decidedly non-traditional. With its exposed brick, industrial bones softened by greenery and a lively underground-meets-club feel, it’s far from your typical manor house or marquee setup. The space has a grounded, urban charm: dog-friendly, community-driven and full of character.

It’s the kind of place where your couple’s creative energy can shine — DIY florals, bold colour palettes, quirky details — and the surroundings won’t feel mismatched. Instead, they’ll amplify the joyful, un-stuffy energy that you can to bring to life.

Manchester Craft & Design Centre

What an amazing place to potentially get married in, the Manchester Craft and Design Centre. With all the history and beautiful light available. I can definitely see how incredible it would be.

I am since adding in a photo from a wedding I shot at this venue, with Nicole and John. This amazing vintage inspired colourful wedding was fantastic.

To make sure you can get legally married in a venue in Manchester, you would need to check the City Councils website but you could always work around it, get legally married somewhere else, the day before or just have your party at these venues.
